Keith KaminskiSaxophone
Keith Kaminski graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit with a degree in Jazz Studies and Contemporary Media. Keith paid his dues on Carnival Cruise Lines for two years following graduation. Since then, Keith has been one of the most in-demand saxophonists in the Detroit area. This is shown through a prolific number of recordings with artists including: Alberta Adams (Born With The Blues, Say Baby Say), Joe Weaver, and Bill Heid. In 1996, Keith began his association with Johnnie Bassett and the Blues Insurgents, with whom he has toured Europe, Canada, and the United States.
Keith performed and arranged the horn parts on their following albums: I Gave My Life To The Blues; Blues Across America: The Detroit Scene; Cadillac Blues; and Party, Party, Party. Keith is a member of the Bird of Paradise Orchestra and has recorded three albums with them: Hallelujah Train, Project X, and Bingo. He is also a member of the Scott Gwinnell Jazz Orchestra with a CD set for release this Fall. Keith plays weekly with the Paul Keller Ensemble and the Bird of Paradise Orchestra at the Bird of Paradise Jazz Club in Ann Arbor. Keith has performed in backup bands for Burt Bacharach, Don Rickles, Joan Rivers, Bob Newhart, Little Eva, Johnny Johnson, and Big Jay McNeely.
